About The Rex Putnam High School orchestra program

The Rex Putnam High School Orchestra program, led by Mr. Kwon, offers students a dynamic and enriching musical experience. Mr. Kwon, a passionate and skilled educator, brings a wealth of knowledge from his academic background at the University of Oregon, where he earned both his Bachelor's and Master of Music degrees in Music Education. His expertise ensures a comprehensive curriculum that includes classical, contemporary, and diverse musical styles. Through Mr. Kwon's guidance, students develop technical proficiency and a deep appreciation for music and gain valuable life skills such as discipline, teamwork, and confidence. The program fosters a strong sense of community and provides numerous performance opportunities, enriching students' academic and personal lives.
